The Roscommon Historic Train Museum is located in the heart of the Village of Roscommon. It is a great place to take your kids or grandkids when visiting the area. There are seven train layouts to see inside the museum that run trains of various sizes.
From June through August, the riding train is in operation just a short block away from the museum. Also, at that location, there is a lovely garden train display.
The volunteer members welcome questions from their guests. They hope that their enthusiasm will inspire others to pursue the model train hobby and learn a little about the railway system.
The museum is a charitable educational organization. It is supported by public donations and membership dues. New volunteer members are always welcome to join in on the fun.
